I also incorporate some creative techniques into my work when appropriate. What is TA? Transactional Analysis, or TA as it is often shortened to, was founded by Dr. Eric Berne in the 1950s and has evolved since. He trained as a psychoanalyst but wanted to develop a theoretical approach that used simple language and was accessible to all. It is now a well-established approach used widely in psychotherapy and counselling. At the heart of Transactional Analysis is the basic philosophy that : People are OK - every individual has value and worth Everyone has the capacity to think People decide their own destiny and these decisions can be changed. |
