SupervisionWith many years of experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist, and having worked with a broad range of issues, I also work as a supervisor. I supervise both individuals and groups, who range in experience from trainees to qualified therapists.I supervise therapists from Transactional Analysis, integrative and humanistic approaches, who are working with adults, either as general counsellors or in more specialist roles. An essential part of supervision is creating a safe, trusting and supportive relationship in which supervisees can develop and grow through encouragement and appropriate challenge. Supervision provides a space for reflecting on the various issues and successes that arise within practice, bringing about a wider perspective which is held within an ethical frame. As with other aspects of my work I like to work creatively where appropriate, as I believe that this can help you to bring to your conscious awareness what you already unconsciously know. This can be particularly helpful in supervision. I hold a Diploma in Supervision and as an EATA qualified PTSTA, Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analysts, am endorsed to teach and supervise. I have held a Diploma in Supervision and worked as a supervisor since 2012. |
